Good morning!
Joe, it is a bit nerve wracking to be dating. I prefer using my iMac and haven't tried the apps for the phone. Good luck. Hope you meeting some interesting people and who knows.....
Dianah, how cool you connected with someone you have known since 1983!
I am off today and tomorrow and back to my normal schedule. Best friend his having his bathroom remodeled and unlike me wants to be present while they are there, so I'll probably stay in today. I barely remember falling asleep and Waffles woke me up for breakfast then I went back to sleep. I might have slept over 10 hours...extremely unusual for me and my insomnia but working 3 12's took it out of me. Rumor is the bonus for working overtime is $500 per shift, but they are in the process of trying to lessen it to the point of getting rid of it. It's a nice incentive. I'll take it.
I slept through my normal yoga class but will hopefully make a 4:30 class later.
Have a great day!

I need a secretary! Hearing-aid place screwed up on my appt which they told me was for Tues/27th, but then I got an online confirmation that said Monday/26th. SiL was able to cover for me on the 26th, so I go a day earlier than expected. Then I had to call a credit card company, as I misplaced my old card. They closed the current acct and will send a new card within 7-10 business days. Called the vet's office and made sure the payment from that card went through the day I was there with Momo (She had looked up the card I used at the last appt, and it had gone through, so I'm okay there, with a zero balance...) Then SiL called and said she would pick up Nannie for the day tomorrow (YAY!) AND also, she will be taking us to Nannie's dermatology appt on Thursday the 28th, late afternoon. PLUS, she is planning on switching Nannie's meds to another pharmacy which will mail pill-packs here, and she is coming over in a while to check on what needs refills before the pill-pack process starts up. My eyes are spinning in my head (where else would they spin???) from referring back and forth between my notebook/brain, and the calendar. Can't get MY refill med pickups until tomorrow, and have to find one refill that I supposedly have already picked up!
So, now I have to decide what I should do today, with regards to the lists I have for the grocery store. I'm inclined, as usual, to NOT do anything, but I do need to get some bills mailed out, as I am no longer leaving things in the mailbox for the USPS to pick up, so I should go to the PO to mail them off today. I am also thinking I should go to the store today and get it over with, so I can devote tomorrow's bonus day off to something besides errands. I've been wanting to get my nails done, but I'm not ready to give up on the hour+ it would take to get 'em done, so I'll do that another time.
Now that I have help, I've got too much fertilizer in my wheelbarrow, ie, too much on the calendar. But at least I have help, and "It will all come out in the wash." Speaking of which I have several loads to do and have yet to get Nannie up today, to see if I need to change/wash her sheets. Ugh.
Waiting for SS check to be deposited on the 27th and plan on paying off a BIG chunk of the Master Card balance that day, which will make me happy. And I think that BiL said that when Nannie's SS check comes in on the first Wednesday, they will give me another check for....? $500, which will be welcome, but right now some of that $500 is for me to cover for what I buy for her, grocery-wise. They are getting Nannie's disposables delivered via online purchases, so at least I don't have to cover that big expense from the $500, and soon I will not have to trot to the pharmacy to get her refills from that $500, either.
WHEW! I know, I know....one thing at a time. It is just overwhelming to have to wake up and deal with all this BIZNEZZ first thing. I yam naught a morning person!
I suppose since I have been on the phone (off and on ) for the past 1 + 1/2 hours, I ought to get up and get dressed.
Found my refill the pharmacy said I'd already picked up (phew!) and when SiL came over, she said Nannie's dermatology appt is this Thursday, not next Thursday. We are all thinking and hoping that the month of March will find things finally smooth (with a 'capitol SMOO') and straightened out, making a lot of this stuff we're dealing with now less of an ordeal.
Gads, I'm tired. I am officially declaring that the rest of the day requires nothing from me but giving Nannie her supper and meds, then later putting her to bed. Period. The end!
Hi. I'm exhausted just listening to all the scheduling and pharmacy picking ups! Dh has prescriptions that come due at all different times, and at 2 different pharmacies, but he usually picks up his own. And he freaks out if they send him notice they are ready and he doesn't pick them up right away. I keep telling him to ask to get them scheduled to pick up on the same day, but he thinks that would inconvenience them. My pharmacy actually has a little sign offering that service. He had an eye exam today, and his prescription has only slightly changed, but the office said the glasses he has could be better. And they could sell him some for $700-$900! Gulp. He is going to wait on new glasses.
The weather is overcast and gray. I took the dogs for their walk. I've been real achy, but I know I feel better when I just get out and walk a little. The dogs tore up one of their dog beds, so I sat down and sewed up all the rips by hand. It looks like a Frankenstein bed now, but at least the fluffy stuff is on the inside, again.
Our builder guy asked to start 2 days later, so that gives dh 2 more days to clean out his old office. I am not holding my breath.
We have access to Apple TV on the computer, thanks to sharing a family account with dd. That's how I watched Ted Lasso, and I really like it.
Beautiful day here. I put the top down on the convertible when I went to grab a sandwich for lunch. Now waiting to hear that my pickup order at Walmart is ready. It's an exciting life.
Hubs is not willing to give all Gma's assets to Medicaid for long term care at this point so there we go. But at least he knows how it work. For respite care, they want to schedule at least a couple months out. Not ideal, but OK.
It is time for an eye exam. I never got new lenses last year. Seriously thinking about getting my prescription and taking it to one of those stores like Lenscrafters. I don't want to do the all-online option where I have to do all that measuring and can't actually try on frames. But I also don't want to spend what I know I'd end up spending if I bought them from my eye doctor. I've *never* asked for my prescription before -- always just paid whatever -- it almost feels like I'll be upsetting them. But too bad.
Well, my Walmart order is ready. I'll check back with y'all later.
Twin A had picked out some recipes from all the Hello Fresh cards we kept. So tonight we had lobster ravioli and scallops. I made spaghetti for the seafood non-eaters. Who knew Walmart had lobster ravioli? Especially in small town Oklahoma.
Hubs thinks we can find a place to stay the night before the eclipse. ?. I told him to go ahead and look if he wants but I won't because I'll be shocked if he finds anything. Well, maybe a tent site but we're not prepared to do that.
I can't say about the ravioli because I'm not a seafood afficianado. I had one piece of ravioli and a couple bites of scallops. It didn't taste bad. The sauce that Hello Fresh had to go with it was this: saute shallots and garlic in butter, then add halved grape tomatoes. Then a little cream cheese, seafood stock (I had to use chicken stock), and sour cream, salt, pepper, and their "green herb mix" -- I used Italian seasoning. The sauce was good.
But if that would overwhelm the libster, you could try just olive oil with garlic or something like that.
Get this: Hubs found a place to stay the night before the eclipse! It is in Sherman, TX, and we'll drive about an hour from there to the park where we hope we can watch.
The boss said today I don't need to go to Phoenix. I have mixed feelings about that. Of course it is easier to stay home. And I can participate in the meetings with Zoom. But it's good to see everyone in person. And my best friend from college and her husband live near there and it's nice to see them. The next meeting, in June, is in OKC.

Dianah that was nice that you were able to meet up with a longtime coworker
Was a pretty good day at work yesterday, busy in the morning and quieter during the afternoon, nothing out of the ordinary. After work exercised and cleaned. Have begun watching Apple+ so I can see some of the Peanuts stuff you can't find elsewhere. Don't plan on keep the subscription, just want to find ones I like enough to get on DVD
Woke up twice in the early morning, which is unusual for me. I think it's probably due to stress over beginning dating again. And these dating apps take getting used to, they seem to have a lot of people but a small percentage who are actually compatible, so you have to review many profiles to get someone willing to chat with you
Today should be another fairly ordinary day, nothing unusual going on, will do the laundry as usual
Going to be an unusually warm day, in the mid 50s. Will stay unusually warm until at least Friday
