Tweety wish it was in the 70s here

Stars sounds like a very productive day

Ado that was good that you got the patch done on your lunch hour

Yesterday was pretty good.  Went out early for a hike to a new place, and found quite a lot of woodpeckers, including rarer ones.  Definitely going to return to this spot.  Then took the train downtown to the Christmas market to see if I could  find some ornaments. Didn't find any that interested me, at least not enough to buy.  Did try some more of the German food  there

Rest of the day was fairly quiet, did a little cleaning and finished the opera and stopped at the library

Today back to work, and hopefully nothing major happened while I was away,  Nothing else unusual planned for today

Currently snowing, will get up to about 40

good soggy morning. It's been raining, a lot. Low level flooding is predicted this evening at high tide. The dogs have been resistant to going outside, so there have been accidents, sigh. I went with youngest ds to see his doc yesterday, to explain about why he needs to be tested for the heart thing I have. Also, his A1C is higher, so he is going to start metformin and see a nutritionist. Then I came home and made lemon cookies. I use an ice cream scoop to form them, and my hand is getting too sore to use it. Dh promises me he will help. We shall see.

NoStars, you are inspiring me to do some purging. I have all my old college papers in 3 ring binders that I can dump. Plus, I have some little boy clothes that I used to keep on hand for visiting grand sons. And I really need to get some gifts, but I think for the most part, it's going to be gift certificates. We are going to give eldest ds money for their belated honeymoon, help youngest ds buy a bed, and probably give dd a Nordstrom gift certificate. I would like to get sister who falls a lot, a Google watch that detects falls.

Trivia tonight. We got second place last week.

I'm up and having coffee. Momo has had her breakfast, and I am about to go get Nannie up. I have everything ready to go when SiL gets here in about 2 hours. May stop on the way home and get a Subway sandwich for Nannie and I to split for supper.

The sky is Carolina Blue, no clouds, and the high today is supposed to be 59 degrees.

Nuthin' more to say for now, if you can believe that!

Good morning!

It's in the low 70s today.  Quite pleasant.

J22, hope your son can get the A1C down.  It's a rough road with so many other things tied to diabetes.

Stars, hope you have a productive day.

I don't have a lot of junk to purge.  I tend not to be a packrat but need a few more bookshelves or to donate some again to the library as I've done in the past.

It got up way too early but decided to get up and mop the floors, cook some and went to yoga.   Just have to get a few things at the groceries and I'm ready for a few days at work.

I'm orienting a new nurse on a day I'm doing charge.  I was confused since I'm not a preceptor and the manager said, "he has eight years experience, and you're just showing him the flow of the unit".  Maybe he's my replacement.

Going to see an exhibit at one of the museums that best friend got free tickets to from the library.  It's at a museum that focuses on art from the American West, including Native American art and it's called "FROM FAR EAST TO WEST: THE CHINESE AMERICAN FRONTIER".  Should be interesting.  Sorry for the all caps, I just cut and pasted.

How fun to see the woodpeckers.

I'm suddenly aware it's only 20 days until Christmas.

When I got home this evening Hubs was in a very grumpy mood. Darby dog had multiple accidents in the house. Binx the cat threw up. He is so ready to end Darby's life. Poor old girl. Then his mom was grumpy, too. Maybe she picks up on his mood. Or maybe that eye was bothering her and that made her irritable. I don't know but it has not been a fun place thus evening. Having given up on football season Hubs has moved on to obsessing about basketball and the Indiana Pacers. He wants to go to the game when they play in OKC. I did that with him a few years ago for his birthday but he didn't feel very good that night. I think watching basketball is about as much fun as watching paint dry. I've been to one other Thunder game, when I was working at the big hospital and they had a box. They would give tickets as rewards or something.
