Good morning!

Joe, enjoy book club.

I enjoyed the gay men's book club I went to a few years ago. Sadly the leader died, and the main promotor of the group on the internet went on to do other things, and while we attempted to keep it up, it fizzled out

I tossed and turned after getting up at 3:45 and just got up at 5AM. I did some online learning on strokes and blood born pathogens that was overdue for work. Doing laundry and some meal prep. Have enough to keep me busy and awake but I am tired.

Went bowling last night and lost a game for us. However the two teams above us lost as well and we jumped from 3rd place to a tie for first again. This is the most tight season I've ever been in. We've been tied for first at least four times now. Too much pressure.

Stars, the Rays are 10-0 so far this season but it's so early who can tell how things go. The baseball expert on my bowling team said teams typical lose 1/3 of the games in a season.

Good morning. Dh was groaning already about the Mariners. They seem to be on again, off again with their level of play. I have to think the cold weather has a lot to do with it.

I've thought about a book club. They were starting one at work just before I left, but the suggested reading list just didn't appeal to me.

I drugged the dog this morning in anticipation of his blood draw this afternoon. Of course, he didn't want the american cheese that I was going to use to disguise his pills. I finally used potato chips with a glob of wet food and peanut butter. I am supposed to re-dose in about 4 hours, but I have a feeling I won't be able to wake him up for that. It's raining, again. Argh. dh wants me to go with him to a plant shop that an old acquaintance works at to say hi. Other than the vet visit and taking grandson to hockey, I have nothing planned. I need to wash the sheets, but for now, the dog and dh are still in bed. I do need to clean out and re-sort of couple of kitchen cabinets. And the fridge, which seems to be crammed with lots of mysteries.

I've heard that San Antonio is really nice. dh went there a couple of times for his work. I'm not sure I would want to go back to Texas though, after experiencing Houston. I sure would like to go somewhere warm. This gloom and damp and chill are really pulling me down.

And yet another rightly sunny day, very slight breeze, and warm-ish. Probably going to get warmer, because the sun is supposed to shine for three days; NO rain!

Hubby wants to go out and get Chinese food, then after that bring back a steak and cheese sub for Nannie. I'm not particularly hungry, but I said "okay." I may just get a bowl of egg-drop soup and an egg roll.

The carpenter bees are mating, and the sparrows are building a nest. I keep seeing the sparrow land on the deck, holding large dead leaves in its beak, and then it heads up into the trees.

Nannie and hubby are both doing the "eyes-closed-resting" in their recliners. Hubby has 02 on. Not sure when we'll be going. Meanwhile I have to put Nannie's washed sheets into the dryer.

Fun, fun, fun! (but no ??daddy to take no T-Bird away ?)

Oops, no Chinese food; I asked hubby when he wanted to leave and he said, "And go where?" I said to eat Chinese, and he said he didn't know, because I didn't say anything when he mentioned it. Well, I did, but he didn't hear me, apparently. So, meanwhile he decided it would be easier if he goes to What-a-Burger and get hotdogs, because it would be closer and cheaper. He said by the time we got to the restaurant and were served and ate and drove back, it would be late. (late?) Okay to that, too. Guess I'll go upstairs and get some cash.

Hello all!

Woke up late-ish, decided to forego breakfast remain NPO until after labs drawn. Routine labs. Got dressed, got labs done, picked up burritos for us (they will last for a few days' meals), and some coffee cake from a diner near the burrito place. Dh was thrilled to see both, and we had lunch, then I went out to get a new pair of walking shoes (decided it was about time, since I have been walking more). Went to two stores before I found a pair I liked (that weren't astronomically priced). Then got the car washed and spent half an hour or so detailing it. Just got home. Dh is done with the online jam. Not much else going on today or tonight.

No Stars, did you end up getting hot dogs and burgers?

nursej22, were you able to get the dog to get his labs done? I need to re-sort kitchen cabinets too...

Tweety, too bad you are tied for first place with the bowling league. ?? Halfway kidding, it's a good thing but you are right, it creates a lot of pressure! Hope you got some things done today, despite sleep deprivation. (hope you were able to go walk on the beach!!)

Joe, how was the book club and the restaurant??
