Tweety that is often the easier option than trying to find time to make something

Stars glad you got a break from her today

Thought yesterday was going to be fairly quiet but got a complicated new case in the afternoon that made things a bit chaotic.  Also had some stuff to do for the coworkers who was off. Was fasting to help compensate for some overeating on Easter which didn't help either.  Thankfully I got through the day.  Rest of it was fairly quiet, ran an errand and exercised.  Was kinda tired and had a headache

Today coworker is back, hoping today will be less crazy, although we have a meeting during my usual lunch hour, hoping it doesn't mess my schedule up too much.  Grocery shopping after work but not much else planned

Have begun thinking about the trip to Madison, which is in a week and a half.  Just a 1 night trip so packing and such should be minimal.  Has been 2 years since I've been there, reflecting on how much things have changed in that time

Will be up to about 70 today, quite a bit warmer than yesterday.  Although rain is expected later today

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a less chaotic day.

I've been using my credit card more since I noticed it has cash paybacks on one I rarely use.   Rather than use it to payback myself on the card, I link it to my Amazon to buy stuff.   My Amazon credit card also has payback which I use for purchases.  I used my Amazon Pay account to buy a bucket of KFC chicken for the potluck yesterday.

There was no more chicken left.  Last year I bought two buckets and this year only one and one is better.  We got 9th place out of 13 teams and got $75 a piece.  I'll take it.  Will look at the schedule for some overtime shifts.

I'm having the inside ceiling painted today where there are still a bunch of ugly water stains from the hurricane.  Wonder if they will too be a no-call-no-show.

Otherwise, not much going on.  I'll have to stay out of the painter's way.  Not sure if it's just one person or two.  At 8:00 I'll have for an ETA.   My ceilings are quite high.

My turn to have aches and pains.  Bowling last night my right knee was hurting for some reason.  But that completely went away and my lower back is aching today.  Just took some ibuprofen.  This getting old crap is for the birds.

Hope your "gypsies" have settled down, Tweety.

Sorry your Monday was chaotic, Joe.

Stars, cherry pound cake sounds good. We had a Sara Lee pound cake with sliced strawberries Sunday along with the carrot cake I made.

I'm slogging through the chart abstracted submissions for CMS. Finished ED and Stroke, and the Sepsis is almost done. Just need to check out a couple of things.

Have been staying up too late and feeling extra tired during the late afternoons.

Hello all!

Joe, I hope work settles down for you.  It's a short trip planned to Madison, yes?  How far away is Madison for you?

Ado, I hope you can get to bed and to sleep earlier, so you don't have those draggy afternoons.

Congrats on the bowling standings, Tweety.  Yah, I know, it's not in the Top Three, but congrats anyway!

Dh and I joined AAA this year, for the first time.  I took two DMV registration renewals over today, to get them processed.  I thought they'd process them and then I would wait for the stickers to come in the mail.  NOPE.  They processed both, then handed me the stickers!  GREAT service!!

Then I stopped by to visit with oldest ds, working at the Cat Cafe.  I got an iced tea and went downstairs to the large room in which the cats roam.  There is a wall of shelves with various books available for reading, and many benches and chairs and throw pillows available, for whatever sitting one may prefer.  And while sitting, you may even get a cat on your lap!  There are a few "resident" cats, but all the others, pulled from euthanasia lists, are up for adoption.  Soft music is playing and what can be nicer (to me) than to sit surrounded by comfortable chairs, books, and cats!  I spent a nice hour there, chatting with ds and petting the cats and hearing about their various backgrounds.  What a nice oasis the owners have created!  I donated to their tip jar as I left.

Time for dinner soon.  Have a good evening!
