TTC Covington LPN 2010 Any Info out there?

Well, it all sounds good. I'm with you though, it feels like we're not hearing everything... I guess I'm used to the more cut-and-dried, five steps to whatever type thing. I hate not finding out until right before school starts. It would be nice to get a decision NOW. I'm going to approach it as if I will not be getting any assistance, and then if I do it will sure be a blessing!

Also, I emailed the instructor a week or two about a book and supply list so I could start shopping around, but I have not heard anything from her. Have you asked about that yet?

Hey! Sorry about my delayed reply I have been traveling and stuff so I haven't been online that much lately.

Ok, so I got the list of books. I was told that it was under 'campus safety' they uploaded it to the wrong place. I can email it to you if you want. It contains the prices of the books, I looked around and amazon seems to have good deals.

For our first session we need the medical dictionary and the function books.

Also, any news from the WIA? I called and left a message today so I will try calling later on and see what happens. I just need to know when this meeting is supposed to happen so I can plan and make sure I can attend!. How did you do on the Tabe?

I got some lottery money so that was nice! I had never received it before and all you needed was to be a TN resident. So that was a nice surprise!. I got the letter the other day.

Also, another thing I forgot to ask is what colors are our uniforms??

The books are listed under "Right to Know" or something like that. Unfortunately, not everything we will need is there. I'd like to know what, exactly, the Nurse Pack, Cram Master, and Nursing Law resources are, since those will also be needed for September... But I guess we'll just wait and see. If we get the WIA funding, it won't really matter to me where I get stuff, since it will all be covered. If I have to buy it on my own, though, I sure want to get the best prices.

I'm scheduled for the TABE on the 11th. I was travelling a lot last month, and it was only offered twice. I'm hoping to meet with them later next week, after I take the exam.

I also got the lottery money, so that was wonderful! It will help a lot.

I don't know what colors are uniforms are, although I have a feeling they will be white. I was told that we can't buy them ourselves, that they will be having "the company" come in an measure and fit us all, and we can only get our uniforms through them. Expect it to cost around $250, but I have no idea what we'll get for that.

Are you excited or nervous? I sure am! But at this point, I just want to get started!!!
