Hello everyone.. Im a new immigrant here in California, im from philippines and i graduated and finish my degree in nursing there.
i just want some advice rgdg taking nclex here in california, coz based from what i heard i still need to study first.. Thank you for those who will reply. :)
Even if your cases were concurrent, they wont let you take the nclex. You still need to retake some subjects.
Not necessarily. If everything happened to match up with the concurrency issue and you touched on all subjects deemed necessary, and you had all the required didactic and clinical hours, then the BRN very well could approve a foreign grad. All non-CA grads have to meet the same requirements as CA grads. The one benefit of going to a BRN approved school in California is that program grads meet the requirements. It doesn't mean that the grads will pass the NCLEX, it just means that the grads meet all requirements to take the exam for licensure in California.
It's very possible for a US nursing school grad (and licensed RN) educated outside of California to be denied a California license because of the very same issue that is faced by many Philippine nursing school grads.

Hi steppybay
I have the same situation. Your saying That best thing that we should do is to submit all our paperworks to CABRN then wait for their respond and to know what are the subject to retake is that right? Thanks
