Trying for Gwinnett Tech 2014

Published

So I am gunning for Gwinnett techs fall 2014 class and wanted to start a forum for us to show support and exchange info. I am doing my last prerequisite now and am excited to do this. Best of luck to everyone. Lets do this thang!:woot::coollook::rolleyes::laugh:;):bookworm:

There is a sample in you-know-who's office:)

Voldemort!

Ordered my uniforms yesterday!

I need to get them so I can make sure I have the right sizes come fall. Can I resend them and exchange for a different size if need be?

There is a size chart on their website. If that doesn't help, call them. Brunswick is really freaking far!!

There are a ton of uniform places that sell scrubs in the metro area. You could always go to one and get measured!

That's actually a hood idea. I think I'll check the chart thing first and if I'm still apprehensive I'll do that thanks÷

Meridy's is very good about returns and exchanges, and I believe your first one is free. If you order a size that doesn't work for you, call them immediately and they'll tell you what to do. I had to do it with both my pants and my top.

Do they run big or small? Did you order the zipper top or the regular one?

Sorry -- hadn't been back in a few days. These finals are going to kill me! To answer blessedjoy's question, I actually ordered one of each top. I started out wearing the zippered one, but I have gained weight and now wear the other one. My advice? Order both and if you find you prefer one over the other, exchange!

I honestly thought the size advice they give you on the site is pretty good. If you stick with that, it should get you in the ballpark. Alternatively, take a run by our favorite coordinator's office. I believe she has samples there (at least she did last year) that should give you an idea.

Hey, incoming GTC nursing program juniors!

You should have received an email about this, but just in case you hadn't, I wanted to put this out there. The senior class officers are hosting an informal Meet & Greet for you guys on May 8th. Not only will this be an opportunity to meet your fellow classmates face to face, but it gives you a chance to meet members of the senior class and bombard us with the same kinds of questions you've been asking here! Think of it as an Ask-a-Nursing Student session just for you! There will be 2 sessions: 1:30p-3p and 5:30p-7p in Bldg 900 Rm 1107, with a book sale prior to the first one. We hope to see a lot of you there!

Please feel free to share this with your fellow class members who are not members of AllNurses.

Hey, Blue, were you one of the people up front today?

Hey Concrete, I plan on applying Fall 2015 too. I've taken Eng 1101 w/ an A Fall 2009, Coll Alg w/ a B Spring 2011, A&P I w/a B Spring 2012 and Psyc 1101 w/ a B. I'm going to take A&P II and Micro with Labs Fall 2014, I will try my best to get A's in both classes. When are you going to start studying for the Kaplan? I'm open to any advice/suggestions to increase my change of getting accepted AN members:up:.
