Hi I decided a while ago that I wanted to become a nurse. I planned on going to American Career College The Los Angeles Campus, but I wasnt approved for a second loan, and at the moment no one will cosign for me. I just wanted to know if anyone has any advice as to how I could make up the difference. Maybe there are some other loans I could apply for that help people with not so great credit. Thanks so much for your help.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. Did you look for any scholarships? Try asking the coordiantor of your LPN program as to how you can get any loans. Also, how much is your LPN program? I'm senior now in my PN school and I pay my tuition in installments like 500 dollars every 2-3 months. My programs is less than 3500 for the 15-month program. Good luck..Hope everything works out with ya.

American Career College, located in Los Angeles, costs in the $24,000 range per year.
Wow. How on earth is that possible???? Even if it's a private school, it shouldn't cost that much. 24 K is like the RN program here already in New Jersey @ CC. I guess Im lucky cuz mine is only 3500 hundred for the whole thing and my school's pass rate is always 100 percent. I'm still wow! 24k....

I just didn't know that it could be that expensive. Just curious as how good these ( "private" = business ) schools are...I hope their pass rate is really good for that kind of money...
