Trouble finding a job

Published

Hi all! Thank you for reading this message. I am getting very discouraged as I have been unable to find a peds job. I took this year off to focus on my DNP, and prior to that, only had adult experience. I'm incredibly desperate and discouraged that I won't be able to be a peds NP without any peds RN experience. I'm just looking for words of encouragement or tips because I'm not getting them from the people in my life. Thank you all!

You can do it!

Have you thought of looking outside of where you live for a job? Or maybe calling up old professors/clinical instructors to see if they can pull some strings? What about an ED that has a pedi ED attached? I know we have those here.

You couldn't pay me a million dollars to work in peds, lol, but I really hope you find what you're looking for! Good luck :)

Hi. I couldn't tell from your profile where you live, so I will just throw some ideas out there..

Public health/county health dept?

Private duty-home health

urgent care?

School nurse?

I am wishing you the best luck, sometimes it can be discouraging out there.
