I have an interview with Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone here had worked there in the past, or if you currently work there. If so, can anyone offer any perspective about the hospital?

How did your interview go? Have you had it yet? (Sorry, I came to his board late.) I did MSICU clinicals there for my Critical Care class in college (2009), and interviewed there in 2011 for their O.R. (didn't get hired). I have had about 4 jobs since graduating nursing school in 2009, and that was always a place I wanted to work. I loved the MSICU - I really lucked out, getting that assignment.

I got the job in the MSICU at Centennial! I was called around two hours after the interview, and offered a night shift job, which I happily accepted. I was very impressed with the unit, and the staff that I spoke with, and I am very excited to get started. February 9th will be my first day, and I will do orientation Monday-Thursday. Friday will be my first time on the unit. I can't wait.

Hey mdmrn23! Hope your job at Centennial is going well. I am going to be an ASN graduate this December and am waiting anxiously to begin applying to nurse residency programs and jobs as soon as they open up here in the next few weeks! How have you liked Centennial? I currently work at an HCA in Florida and hope to interview/transfer to Centennial. My top areas of nursing that I'm looking at are pediatrics (med-surg, hem/onc, neuro), NICU, L&D, and Mother Baby. Do you know anything about what is to come in the next cohort of new nurses? Thanks!
