can anyone suggest me a trisemestral bsn school? if ever i do finish from that school then i could for sure take the NCLEX-RN(USA) or CNATS(CANADA)?
Again, it does not give you automatic consideration to take the NCLEX exam, it is dependent 100% on what was covered in your program. The seconbd courser program is supposed to be two years, but they keep tryign to shorten it in the Philippines, and now it is being looked at with a fine tooth comb.
Suggest that you look at programs that are alreadt fully-accredited and are very approved and have been sending nurses to the US for years.........or you run the risk of having your credentials refused............
please make sure you get nursing education in an accredited and reputable school.... please try to consult Welcome to the Official Website of the Commission on Higher Education for a list of universities and colleges offering nursing...
gooduck on you future endeavors..
i know that my previous college located in taft is doing trimester already..it is the Philippine Women's University in Taft.. you might want to inquire there..
You are right Choco. PWU is now a trisemester school. I am not sure if Fatima is also a trimester school.
The schedule for a trimester school is so tight because the program is shortened to just 14-15 weeks as compared to a regular semester which is 18 weeks long. And PWU is still offering a summer program..so all in all, you will have a four semester in a year. Usually in a semestral program, RLE's are done during summer, i don't have any idea how RLE's will be scheduled in PWU specially if you are a 2nd courser and still keeping a job. No offense but I admire your time management. Peace.
I don't think graduating from a tri-sem course program wouldn't matter. It would be the same subjects after all and only that what would take 2 years would only take 1.5 years or 4 years down to 3 years. What matters is that the school has already produced many grads that already had their program approved to be equivalent to U.S. standards. Don't go to a school in w/c you will be the first batch to graduate and the 1st batch from that school to apply for NCLEX eligibility. 1st batchers will take more time than usual (for their transcripts to be approved) because the State BON or CGFNS will be scrutinizing the curriculum if it's equivalent to US standards.
