Tripler Army Medical Center Interview Tips

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello all!

I just recently received a phone call for an interview at Tripler Army Medical Center and was hoping there was someone on here that would be able to give me tips on how to interview for a government nursing position. This will be my first government interview and was told it will be in front of a "panel of interviewers". Any tips and tricks would be great.. and hopefully help to calm my nerves. Thanks in advance, and I hope to hear from ya'll soon!!

Tripler has an average reputation in Honolulu.

They need YOU just as much as you need them.

In a panel interview, treat each question individually, look the interviewer in the eye and give a good, solid answer. Be able to focus any question towards the needs/honor of the veteran.

Be ready for the... quite lame... question regarding your strengths and weaknesses.

A friend just landed a government job.. her answer regarding weaknesses?... " not anymore I've worked them all out". In other words, push confidence to the point of cockiness.

Good luck! Let us know how it went..
