Trinity Mother Frances job offer

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hello everyone,

I just need some opinions from all of the nurses out there. I was offered a GN position with sign on bonuses at Trinity mother frances in the Tele and post surgical unit. I need to know if this facility will offer me the best residency training. Does anyone have any comments about this hospital, if so could you please share with me before I accept the position. I'm not sure if there are other hospitals in the city such as san antonio, dallas and austin that will offer me sign on bonus. Should I wait for other offers from the city and pass up my offer at Mother Frances? or take the offer?

Hi! I interviewed there too, however I ended up getting an offer closer to home, so I took it to avoid having to move. If I didn't get the offer at home, I would have taken the offer from them. Are you talking about the main hospital in Tyler? I got the feeling that they were the biggest medical group in town and in the area, and everyone in the town spoke highly of them.

Hello Kittyfeet,

Yes, I was offered a position at the main hospital in Tyler. I'm glad you found a job closer to home and it is nice to know that you heard positive comments about this hospital. Gosh, so much to think about, so far this is the first job offer I had since I graduated (Jan) and I moved to Texas. Thanks so much for replying, I have a few more days before I make decision. I hope to make the right one.

Good luck! They were my first offer too and I was pretty excited about it, just when I sat down and calculated the numbers it didn't make financial sense for me to move when I didn't have to. Tyler is a pretty town too and close enough to Dallas that you can still go for the day to do "bigger city" stuff. All the people there were really nice. They seem really supportive of new grads. It was the best sign on bonus I was offered too. There are some cute apartments in that town that aren't too expensive either. I'm sure you will make the right decision, whatever you make :) Where did you move from? Texas is a great state, I'm sure you will love it here! There are plenty of nursing jobs, but in some place it's really saturated with new grads. I live in Houston and it took me a while to get an offer that was in town.
