treat yourself, it feels great

Hi

This is going to sound so silly. Being busy with family, school, and work, some of the routine things I have done for myself before schooling have gone on the sidelines. Well I recently went on a binge and did some things for myself and it felt sooooooo good. I guess little things so mean a lot.

Here they are.

1. Got my haircut.

2. Went to see a movie.

3. Bought new underwear. What a treat that was!!! They are colored, not white.

I hope for others to share some of the simple things they have done for themselves that made their day and make us all smile.

I don't think this sounds silly at all! :) I often save these kinds of things immediately following a semester though - to reward myself. This time I believe I'll reward myself with a day at the spa: massage, pedicure. manicure...

Doesn't sound silly to me -- sounds like much-needed "therapy." :)

I actually read a novel recently. Had nothing to do with nursing. I felt like I was skipping school and getting away with it! :p

Sometimes you need those little indulgences. During the two weeks I have off in August I'm getting a pedicure. I can't wait!

i've become somewhat of a career student and it's been so long since i've actually been able to buy myself "good" stuff. a hair cut is like someone gave me gold.

i think i've become so wrapped up in the future and how i'm gonna get there (with low paying jobs and spending all of my extra money on books) that i'v totally neglected myself. healthwise and aesthetically.

being a poor student sucks.

and i agree that new undies are quite a treat.

this brings up another topic:

do you have plans with what you are going to do with your first "real" paycheck? ooooo i'm gonna post this!

:rotfl:
