Anyone have trouble obtaining contracts without a BSN? I've noticed the larger hospitals won't even look at my file.

I just attempted to take my first assignment and I also have an ADN. I saw so many positions available. My specialty is PACU. Out of all of the positions only one called for an interview, so I don't get it. I don't know if its because its my first assignment or the ADN. I've also been having major problems with my recruiter and agency not being truthful about my contract. I don't know if I'm cut out for this.

Current reports have BSN nurses at 55% of all nurses. My feeling is that this number may overstate the reality, particularly when you consider years of experience as only 5 years ago, BSN nurse were under 40%. I doubt seriously that this is your issue. If you have several years of experience, almost certainly your problem is your agency. Your best bet is to talk to lots of agencies and sign up with the five best ones, ones you trust.
I have 5 years emergency room nursing experience, as well as 6 years as a paramedic before that. I am currently working with 3 agencies. I am searching for a contract within 300 miles from home for my first contract. The hospitals in Boston and NYC are particular about the BSN, I'm not sure if that is just because these are emergency contracts or not.
