Traveling in an RV

Hey all! I'm about halfway through my first travel assignment and loving it. My boyfriend, who is a travel PT, is also with me, as well as our three pets. We decided that it would be hard to find affordable short-term housing with our pets and to pack everything up every three months, so we decided to buy an F-250 and a fifth wheel trailer. We will start living out of it on our next assignment.

Anyone else doing any traveling in an RV? Just looking to network. :)

I just had a similar idea. I am starting a new assignment and have housing for my assigment but I am thinking ahead to other assignments and came up with the same idea as you. The only thing that I was wondering about was how much does it cost to rent rv spot

s in various assignments? I found reasonable housing in my upcoming assignment and its only 500 a month. Then I was wondering how much a spot would cost? Another worry is: are there spots close enough to cities that I might take? I am not sure how much research you have done but I am just starting my search so if you have found any info you feel like sharing I would I appreciate it. Thanks for bringing this topic up!

There is a very long RV thread in this forum, it's probably just a few pages in. Try searching for that and you should find a lot of insight.

Did it for two years, just sold ours and moved into an apartment. Easier to live in cold climates in standard housing.......RV's kinda suck for that.

Doing it now. Love it. Not saving any money but I am so far past the good old days when sharing an apartment with someone would be cool or extended stay would suit my needs. Guess I'm old a d set in my ways but I like having my house with me like a turtle :)

My husband and I travel in our RV. It can be a lot of work finding campgrounds close to the job and not paying an arm and a leg. And we're restricted by the weather sometimes. Really wanted to take a job in Cody WY but no RV parks were open the first month I'd be there for assignment. But we like having all our stuff with us and we both have motorcycles so our toy hauler works great for us!
