Specializes in ER.

Hi everyone :) I just accepted a travel position in the ER at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix AZ starting November 5, 2013. Anyone else ever been to this facility???? Thoughts??? Comments??? Anyone else traveling to the area this winter???

I am starting October 14! I will be in the observation unit!

I spent last winter at Banner Good Sam, but I was in L&D. Can't speak about the unit, but Banner seems like a good company. You will get lots of orientation.

Awesome!!!!! I am going to PM you :)

Has anyone heard about being a travel nurse in the NICU at Good Sam? I'm reading varying posts about traveling with Banner being good/bad? Help!

I'm looking in to positions in that area for a January start date. So far I have only had an offer in Mesa, AZ. What company are you using?

When I started at BGSMC in January, the NICU was run by Phoenix Children's Hospital and they had their own nurses etc. When a baby had to go to NICU, it was as if they were being discharged to another facility, they had their own charting and everything. In March, I think it was, Banner took over their own NICU. I don't know what that means for you as far as traveling there, but FYI.

If you go to the Banner Health hospital website and search jobs there are openings for travel nursing. The Banner hospitals have their own travel nursing department. Good luck!
