  1. If you go to the Banner Health hospital website and search jobs there are openings for travel nursing. The Banner hospitals have their own travel nursing department. Good luck! Banner Health - Arizona AZ, Colorado CO, Alaska AK, California CA, Nebraska NE, Nevada NV and Wyoming WY
  2. Has anyone heard about being a travel nurse in the NICU at Good Sam? I'm reading varying posts about traveling with Banner being good/bad? Help!
  3. I'm not sure if everyone who has an interview gets in, I guess it depends on how many spots are left and how many people are left to interview. The women who interviewed me were really nice. They asked typical questions like "Why do you want to be nurse?" "What do you think a nurse does?" "How do you deal with stress?"... I'm taking a class right now that I don't need for Rush. I only took it in case I didn't get into Rush and got into another program. I know it stinks to waste the money for it, but a child psychology class isn't really a waste if you think about it! But don't be nervous about the interview, they are really nice, laid back people. Just be yourself and I'm sure you'll be fine. I found out I got in to Rush a week after my interview so it was really quick!
  4. Thanks for the great post! This information has helped out a lot. I just found out today that I was accepted for the June 2009 GEM class!! I was wondering if I was going to be able to work this summer, and from your post it seems like I still can (I am a nanny). That is great news that I can still make some money and not be totally broke! Keep sending information about the program this way, it really does help :)
  5. I ended up getting a call for an interview! It's not until March 4th so I have some time to prepare. Not to jump to conclusions, but does anyone know how it works after the interview? I mean obviously they have interest in you if they asked you to come for an interview, but did they ask everyone that applied to come in for one? If you get an interview does that mean you have a pretty good chance of getting in program if they like you after meeting you? I'm just curious!
  6. When do you turn in your application?
  7. I turned in my application late December, early January and haven't heard anything yet. I just called the admissions office and she wouldn't tell me anything except that they have everything they need for my application. She said she has no idea when they will contact me. She said I would receive a letter or email so I have no idea either! I wish we had some sort of idea when we will know.
  8. A couple of girls in my class already got acceptance letters. They were in their mailboxes when they returned to Chicago on Sunday from Thanksgiving. I haven't gotten anything yet though...
  9. Hi! I just applyed to Loyola's ABSN program and am worried I won't get in. I have a 3.35 undergrad GPA and a 3.5 prerequisite GPA so far... (I'm taking A&P and Micro right now). The only thing is I got a "C" in organic chem, this is what I'm the most worried about! My previous degree is in Communications from Purdue University and I've worked at some big name companies (do they really look at work experience if it isn't hospital related?). Also, I volunteer at Make A Wish Foundation and Ronald McDonald House. I have recommendations from a previous boss and one of my chemistry professors (I got an A in his class). I'm pretty sure they wrote good letters! What is your opinion of my chance of getting in for the May 2009 start? Please be honest, thanks so much for your input!
  10. I'm applying for the Loyola ABSN 2009 program. Does anyone know how hard it is to get into? I have gotten A's in my prerequisites so far except for organic chemistry, which I got a C. Do they look at your chemistry grades very closely? I'm scared since I got a C that I won't get in!
