Has any Traveling RN or Advanced Nurse (locum tenens) ever used a house sitting agency? Or have you house sat for someone (stranger) while on traveling assignment?

Never thought about it mainly because I don't own a house lol. Although I was considering being a house sitter on the side.

If you are planning on travel long term, and your house is suitable, get a housemate. Money coming in instead of out, great deal for the housemate with more room and privacy for their money with an empty house most of the year. A small technicality, do not rent your house out, that breaks your tax home. A roommate still allows you to return at any time, part of the requirements of a tax home.
But if you do go the paid house sitter route, keep receipts. It is tax deductible.
