On my last assignment I had to call the Police on my neighbors who were having a loud domestic fight in the middle night. It ended with a butt-naked man being taken out of the attic and a severely beaten female getting sent to the ER.. Come to find out later the victim was a fellow traveler and ended up losing her job over it! I was shocked, more so at the fact that this wasn't the first time I'd seen something like that go down. (Well first time with a naked man and a taser)...but I have seen my fair share of unemployed, alcoholic, moocher, abusive men, tagging along on assignments. Now anytime I meet a fellow traveler with a "Husband/boyfriend" along for the ride. I automatically assume DirtBag until proven different...
After 4 years, I will say Ive met some really great couples but it seems the bad ones have been way more memorable! Am I the only one that's seen a Nurse walking to work while her husband passed by in the car?

wow...sounds like a nice place. Unfortunatley, it seems that some nurses do attract some real low life losers. Might be their nurturing disposition? Maybe low self worth? (which makes me crazy because you have to be strong to finish nursing school!)

Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but unless they're retired, I don't trust a man who doesn't work. Case closed.

I completely agree! Men should work unless they are unable to! I am planning on travelling with my husband starting in September and he wants to work. Is it hard to find temporary work when travelling? Or should he look towards internet work as a source of employment? Any thoughts you may have would be helpful.
What does he do now? What is he good at or passionate about?
Maybe start a blog? (travel, food, nurse travel) Affliate marketing (clickbank)? Web Design, Amazon/Ebay Sales? Online Poker ..haha, Customer Support/Virtual Call Center, etc.

Part-time Maintenance/Cleaning apartments (where you are staying), start a window washing biz, start a painting biz, handyman work, Home Depot, etc.

Thanks for the input Nomad5150! He is passionate about money! He is pretty flexible and will do whatever he has to do to earn a paycheck. He has the mentality that a husband should work regardless of the situation. He currently has a full time job, but will be giving that position up in order for me to travel. He has been with that company for 15 years as a warehouse worker.
Thanks again for your input! Have a great day!
Another option, with sometimes pretty decent pay is bartending? A traveller I worked with years ago had a husband who was retired, but would find bartending jobs wherever they went, and usually worked on the nights she worked.

I have noticed this too! I've seen it a few times, beautiful women in their mid to late 20s with husbands or boyfriends who just tag along. I always thought it was strange.
Sometimes I find myself attracted to losers without knowing it though. Sigh. I haven't drug one out on assignment yet haha.
