We have started getting some travel nurses while we are training new hires. What experiences have you all had with them?

I have not paid too much attention because we have a float pool so we are used to seeing different faces, but we have one now that is a doozy. Made some comment about getting through the assignment, both the shift and the contract, and then moving on. Doesn't seem to care much about how well she does her job but loves to tell us that we are doing x, y, z wrong.

It is a specialty unit and many of us are certified in our specialty. She is not and it is very uncomfortable. I guess the saving grace is that she will be gone soon. Does their company get reviews from managers? or are places so desperate that it really doesn't matter.

I don't think she is unsafe, but certainly not very compassionate.
