Finding a nurse to travel with.

Specialties Travel

Published

Hello everyone,

So I started traveling mainly to pay off my student loans and i would like to make that happen a bit faster by traveling with another nurse or other travel oriented medical profession to cut rent/living costs. Has any one had good/bad experiences doing this. I figure I can do anything for 3 months if it doesn't work out.

P.S. if anyone has any resources or experience with places to stay in Seattle, any information would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Brian W.

I thought travel agencies paid for everything?? Rent mainly,

and some if not most living expenses?

There is a forum here for Travel Nursing. Look up at the top

of your screen under the "Specialties" tab, then scroll down

to Travel Nursing. You may get more help there, if no one

in this forum is able to answer your question.

You are working for the wrong agency. Your housing should be 100% paid... and it should nice within a safe area.

Of course it could be paid for but I would lose money. I can make more money if I pay for it my self. A travel company offers to supply you housing OR $2000 a month for housing. If you find a suitable place for $1000 you get to keep the extra money. If they find a place to put you for $1000 they end up keeping the extra money.

I have been a travel nurse for 7 years. First you need to figure out where you want to want state and look at the licening requirements.

There is a good page The Gypsy Traveler on FB. They have one for housing and some looking for people to travel with.

They pay is based on area . You take the housing stipened and find own place or they will supply housing and have reduce pay.

Some find a partner to travel and one will take housing one take stipend and pay bills. split food.

Good Luck

Hello, I have already signed my first contract but I've thought of this also to pay my mortgage off faster. I wouldn't be available until August. Seattle the only area you interested in?
