travel nursing not taking spouse.

Does anyone work as a travel nurse but does not take their spouse with them? How does it work for you?

Well, I'm not a travel nurse but my husband and I live 165 miles apart and only see each other on the weekends and we've been doing this almost 4 years.

No problems whatsoever.

In my opinion, I think this depends on you and your husbands relationship! It depends on how the both of you make it work!!! He can travel with you and it could be bad or good, and vise versa if he does not travel. Good luck!

I travel and my husband stays home. It truly sucks. Closest I've been was 4 hours away but most assignments are well over 1000 miles. What to do? I'm not young, I need the job and his provides free medical care and $5.00 prescriptions. I just returned from MAryland to Iowa (home) and will be heading out again somewhere next week I expect.
