Travel nursing when your specialty is psychiatry?

Are there realistically many opportunities for nurses with extensive psychiatric experience? My other dilemma is healthcare as I have a dependent who needs to be covered. I have hard the insurance is expensive and have previously asked about the insurance here.

I would love to be able to travel to warm states prior to making a decision to move and give the children time to finish high school instead of pulling them out at this time.

Have you tried calling some agencies? They are the ones providing travel assignments and will be happy to tell you about their opportunities and health insurance.

Ned has posted a couple particular agencies that were more psych friendly in the past. Sometimes a simple search can be helpful prior to asking a question since the traffic on the forum comes and goes.
