I am wanting to travel nurse, but I signed a lease a few months ago in my home city. Is it possible to let the agency find my housing and continue to lease with my old apartment until the lease is up? I don't want to break a lease.

I don't see why not. As long as your landlord is getting the rent on time they shouldn't care and you need a place to return to between assignments.

Thank you! I'll have to see what agencies say about it as well.

They don't care.
You could lease as many places as you want.
What they care about is how much they compensate you. Some of that compensation might be in the form of housing if that is what you negotiate.

Agencies don't care. No need to tell them. I was a traveler in my own city. I live in a large city and it was all fine. They even paid me a stipend for living in my own place. They essentially paid my rent.
