I work as a full time medical assistant, single mom of a 6 yr old son, and pre-Nursing student with high hopes of being accepted into the part time RN program Fall 2009. If accepted, I will graduate December 18, 2011. At that time my son will be 8 yrs old, and I really want to travel with him by my side. Are there traveling RN jobs that will allow me to spend at least two years in one area? Stability would be an issue, but living that kind of life would be no different than if I were in the military.

Travel nursing contracts are normally from 3 to 6 months, sometimes less. In this worsening economic climate, many organizations are eliminating the use of travel nurses in favor of less expensive options.
