I'm going to be moving to the San Jose, California area. I'm looking for travelers advice, pros and cons of agencies where they have worked. Best and worst agencies? Advantages to working for an agency over taking a position in a hospital.
Although, it's rare that I get to work with someone from a staffing agency/registry. But try MGA Healthcare cause from what I've heard you can land a permanent job easily through them or better yet, try applying at Stanford or any of the Sutter Affiliates in the Bay Area. If I'm not mistaken, if you have the experience or depending on it or the dept./management/unit, they start their hourly wage between $62 -70/hr.
BTW: I'm from the Bay Area...
Hello. Thank you for your advice. I'll be moving to San Jose so I was considering all options to get a job. After all the info I've received I'm thinking I just want to apply to hospital jobs, especially SCVMC. I didn't even think about Stanford. I'll definitely look into that. I'll also have to check travel times for my commute.

I don't blame you with Kaiser. It is BS.You get paid top dollar because you are doing EXTRA for the money. People overlook that.
