I am currently taking Health Assessment. One of my assignment is to create a more appropriate statement using ten traps of interviewing. I was having a difficult making this question to a more appropriate one.
"Why did you get pregnant so soon?"
Can anyone help me with this one? I need to avoid saying "Why" in the beginning.
Thank you.

Asking why, especially withe the "so soon," carries the implication that what they have done is not a good or right choice and puts them in a defensive position.
"How do you feel about your pregnancy?" might be a better way to ask, but I'm not 100% on the info you are trying to secure.
Thank you SummitAP for your response! :)

Is this a planned pregnancy? What led to your decision to become pregnant at this time?
