Transferring Schools

Hello, I am currently attending CUNY Hunter College and I was thinking about transferring to CUNY Queens College. I have a B- in organic chemistry so I cannot apply for Hunter Bellevue nursing program, so I was thinking about applying to a different accelerated nursing program or P.A school. I was thinking about transferring to a different CUNY my GPA is not that great(I was going through extremely rough times during freshman year of college) and I wanted a clean slate. I just wanted to know if it will be better for me to go to Queens College and really try to obtain a high GPA or stay at Hunter College with my current GPA and just try extremely hard to bring it up. Thank you so much.

Hi, I also go to Hunter College and currently taking chemistry! We might be taking the same class! I take chem100 on M and Th 9:45 am - 11:00 pm and T-Th lab.

Back to your question, I see no point of transferring schools especially within CUNY system. Besides, B - is a good grade! You need at least a C in a course. I am sure if you study a bit harder you will turn in into a better grade, since semester is not over yet! Moreover, your overall GPA is what counts as well. Just keep it up so your GPA is good enough to apply to a nursing program. Good luck!
