Transferring CNA Certificate

I just moved to NJ from Florida. I was living in NJ and had my CNA liscense. When I moved to Florida, I had my liscense transferred. Now I am back in NJ. Does anyone know how I can have my liscense transferred form Florida to NJ? Please help.

CNA's are not licensed but are certified in each state prior to working in Nursing Home or Home Health Agency....CNA= "Certified Nursing Assistant"

I hold a license as a Florida C N A. It no longer is "just a certification" The laws have changed. I hope this helps, you can always call the healthcare agency or school you took your original Cna test at for more info. Florida by law does have its C N A 's become licensed, not "just certified". Also FY:twocents:I, as a PCT with a national license certification, I had to have a legitimate C N A license before I was allowed to take the Patient Care Tech exam to recieve my licensure as a PCT.

In Tampa last year, a woman ran around a Tampa Hospital claiming she was a C N A and lost her workplace badge. The newspaper reported that she turned herslf in the next day and she apologized for lying etc. The same new article claimed she was probably in no further trouble since "PCT's do not require any form of certification or licensure". Not true...I wondered if the newspaper realized that they reported a falsehood, claiming P C T's do not need licensure to do their job. All hospitals here in Florida are required by law to only hire LICENSED C N A's PCT's HHA's etc.:twocents:Just throwing my own two cents in here to clarify a few misconceptions about Florida.
