Transfering nursing schools

Not sure about the BSN porgams, but transferring into an ADN program in DFW will be difficult. The Health Occupations Office at El Centro College in Dallas told me that they had not accepted a transfer students in some time simply because they did not have room. the spots were usually filled with returning students who stopped for grades, illness or other reaasons.

Of course a transfer is possible in Dallas, just very hard simply due to lack of space.

Your best bet is to call around and get the info from the horse's mouth.

I will keep my fingers crosssed and pray for a spot for you.

My bud from nursing school transfered from Baylor to UTA during our second semester. She had previously been accepted to both, though, so that might have made a difference.

My BSN program in Stephenville, Texas is small. There was no waiting list to get in. You don't have to have a 4.0 to get in. I really like it, the instructors are very good about helping you in any way that they can.

Which college? Is it an LVN-->BSN bridge or RN-->BSN program?

You can start out as a traditional student, or as an LVN, or as an RN. You just start in different places.
