Transfer tech credits question???

I am currently a general studies student at the tech in Concord, but am applying to Rivier for their nursing program this coming fall. My question is for anyone who has transfered tech questions - Do other colleges generally take their credits? Are there courses to avoid at the tech if planning on transferring? Thanks!

IF I remember right Rivier will take most of the credits. I was going to transfer this year (midway thru an ADN program) into their BSN program but life got in the way.

The took ALL My nursing credits and almost all my gen eds. I would have graduated with a BSN in only two more years they took so many!

I think you had to have a B or better to transfer the classes though.

PS- I stayed at NHCTC-Laconia due to my gram moving in with me and me needing to be very local and will have my ADN in May.

good luck to you! I think you will love it there- I have heard nothing but good and all my interactions with Rivier were so positive! One of the instructors was even going to give me some books that I would have had to repurchase (different publisher for med0surg, etc.!).

I graduated from Riv, but took a lot of prereqs at NHTI. They accepted all of them, but only gave credit for comparable credits. Such as, Riv's English Comp is 3 credits, while NHTI is 4 credits, so I only got the 3 credits. No biggie though.

Thank you both for the positive information. I am really looking forward to my meeting this week. I'll be staying at the tech next semester to get more pre-reqs out of the way.
