Hi there,

I want to know if anyone has transferred 50 or more credits at Chamberlain?  If so how long was your program?

I will be sending my transcripts over to Chamberlain tomorrow and I already have a BS degree and ALL science, social sciences that should transfer.

I also evaluating the cost of program vs an ABSN.  If Chamberlain is less expensive but a little longer as in 15 months then, it would be a serious contender vs a 12 month ABSN for a lot more.

Thank you all in advanced

Hello- I transferred a lot of credits at Chamberlain. I am going to be attending the Irving, TX location. I currently have an AS in Respiratory and BS in Respiratory Therapy. Due to my science courses being greater than 10 years old I have to re-take them (Anatomy, Chemistry and Microbiology) my first semester. This program I think is a 3 year BSN but they said I should finish in about 2 years due to my transfer credits. Hope this helps!

great news and congratulations.  Do you know how much your transfer credits knocked down your tuition?

All of my science classes are within the 10 year cut off and I even have nutrition and patho.  When I did the rough calculation looks like I would have transferred in ~58 credits..but that is only if they give me everything.

Thank you for your reply!

I think she said the program would cost $47,000 over 2.5 years. I also got the scholarship which takes off 10% tuition for the first 4 semesters or something and then I get $5500 per year from my employer so I should pay total less than 30K.

That's awesome but geeze for all those credits transferring in it will still take 2.5 years to complete?  I will be speaking with an advisor this week to go over my plan.  It's awesome that it has significantly dropped your tuition down.

From what my advisors told me, the fastest you can complete the program is I believe 2 years and 3 months. I transferred 53 credit hours. You will probably find that you won't be able to transfer some of your courses because they have to be an 80% course match to Chamberlain's equivalent course. They also require a ton of gen ED classes like History and Poli Sci. I delayed my start date so I could 9 classes at community college where they are MUCH cheaper. One thing that my advisor wasn't very up front about is that you can take a proficiency exam for a class to basically "test out" of the class. Definitely a good option for any gen eds. classes.

Hello, I am also applying to Chamberlain nursing for the Irving campus. Would you have any information on how the school admits students in after taking the HESI A2?
