Is it true that there will be less testing in our 3rd year? I also have heard that we do not have to log our meetings. I cannot recall any of my 3 case managers telling me this, I think I have just read it here. Anyone know if you get a bit more slack in your final year?

It has definitely slowed down for me. I just started my 3rd year in August. I was testing 2-3 times a month for the whole last two years, but once I hit the three year mark, my testing has just stopped! So far it has been 5 1/2 weeks since I last tested. I am sure I'll get hit for a September test pretty soon, and then I'm assuming it will be roughly once a month, but I don't know that for sure. The tension is building every time I check, I just can't believe it has been so long this time!
It's written in the TPAPN participant guide, on pages 6 and 16, under Self Help Group Attendance and under Documentation, Attendance Record, that you "may" not be required to submit your meeting attendance logs in your final year, IF your case manager approves. So you need to check with your case manager before you just stop submitting your meeting dates/times. My case manager approved that for me after I emailed to ask about it.

Well I am starting year 5 on TPAPN and have tested 2-4 times a month. I just tested after 6 weeks with no testing! I was told that at year 5 I would not have to submit meetings. It is ridiculous that NPs have 2 more years. Gonna coast through this last year. The past. 4 have flown by!

I received this a few days ago:
TrashPanda, You have one year to go in the program!! Since you are up-to-date with everything, your program gets modified in two ways. First, there will be decreased selections for drug testing. You still need to check in every day, but the frequency of the drug testing will be reduced. Second, you no longer have to submit Meeting Logs. You still need to attend meetings, but you get to decide how many you attend to maintain your sobriety and you don't have to report it, if you don't want to. You still need to submit your monthly Self Reports, Prescription Updates and Quarterly Updates. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Congratulations! (Name of Case Manager)
TrashPanda will be done with this costly nonsense in 11:4:15:03 and 10, 9, 8, 7...and I do hope they have enjoyed this petty torment.
