So, what happens if you miss a check in???

I haven't experienced it myself, but I've heard from other people that if you forget to check in you should go in and test anyway that same day. Go to a CareNow that stays open late if you've already missed your lab's closing time, or look up other labs around you on Affinity. The biggest concern for the case managers is that someone has slipped up and had alcohol or some other substance so they know they'll test positive if selected, and they figure if they say "oh I forgot to check in" they'll buy themselves an extra day to get that stuff out of their system. That's why a missed check in is considered a positive drug test.
However, I also have heard that lots of people have forgotten to check in a couple times, and they don't get thrown out of monitoring. I would assume you'd get a reprimand, a warning of some kind, but I don't know exactly what they'd do. You should definitely contact your case manager and let him know.
And let all of us know what happens too! Forgetting to check in is a huge fear of mine, so I'd love to know what the consequences are.

I had a single missed check in back last year sometime. I'm still not entirely sure I actually didn't check in or it was some kind of system burp. I wound up ‘getting selected' the following day anyhow. No one ever said boo to me about it. No email, snail mail, warning, no nothing.
I don't know if getting picked the next day was a fluke or I really did miss it and that's what happens. Either way, I've nothing to hide and I can prove so there.
Like someone said above, given the rampant misses on days that people both were and were not getting picked and still not getting dumped out I don't think there's much to worry about. Beside kicking someone out that easily would lessen the $$$$$ stream.

I've checked in "outside my window." The window is 4 am - 2 pm EST for me. The kids were off school for some reason and it felt like a weekend, when I finally remembered it was 3 something. I pushed the 'self-test' button and ran down to the Care-Spot which is open until 8 pm and dropped a urine. I've heard others completely forgot and nothing happened. I do know that the 'self-test' doesn't do anything except make me feel better. If I wasn't due for a test that day, they still selected me for the same amount of tests for the month. It's just basically punishing myself for being human and forgetting. BUT, it's better than being suspicious.

Happened only once. Got a lecture. Tested next day. Never missed again. Had alarm reminders every 3 hours throughout the day to remind, "Did I check in"?
