Has the cost of testing changed for TPAPN now that we have other choices besides just Quest labs?
I haven't had to test since we switched from Recoverytrek to Spectrum/Affinity. When I set up my Spectrum account I had to choose a preferred lab. The closest one to my house is a Care Now. I just noticed that on Spectrum there's a place that shows prices, and Care Now shows Urine $20. Does that mean it will be $20 in addition to the regular charge of $55?

I believe that is a collection site fee. So yes it is in addition to the 55.00

That is what happened to me. Payed $55 to Spectrum. Went to test and they wanted their $20 fee on the spot. I thought the $55 included the site fee already but apparently not. So, one test cost me $75. Glad I found a job!
Ugh. That's disappointing! I was excited that I had a closer, more convenient place to test, that also had better hours. Nope, unless it's unavoidable, I will continue to go to the Quest where I've been testing for the last two years. Cannot wait for this to be over! I feel like I'm in jail, counting down the days to freedom!

In my state, Affinity is used. The normal going rate for the P test is $55. The on site demand for payments are indeed collection site fees. Here, there's some sort of contract with LabCorp that has no site fee. I have staunchly refused to go anywhere else on principal that this thing is not getting a single dime more out of me than I absolutely have to part with. I do realize that between schedule and/or location not everyone has that luxury and that is yet another inherently wrong thing with this stuff.
I recently saw the Spectrum stuff that offered a phone app for affinity access and I think I audibly rolled my eyes. I think I'll keep going out to the website. Just me but I don't want to be reminded of affinity, pee tests and $$$$, every time I look at my phone.
