Towson or Stevenson

Hello,

I have been accepted to Towson and Stevenson and am in the process of trying choose which one to go to. I have not yet applied to the Nursing program. I was wondering if anyone goes to Stevenson for Nursing and how they like it.. as well as Towson. I am just really confused right now on where to go. :banghead:

Any thoughts on these two programs would be greatly appreciated! Thank You.

OneNJen - when did you apply to the school or the nursing program I should say? Last year?

Tine- applied in April to begin Fall of 2009. From what I understand you can only start the program in the fall. I have a degree already, so I was considered a transfer... I have all the prereqs already, except for one I am taking this summer.

Ok gotcha! Thanks. I guess I will have to wait til next Fall then since I have both the A+P's to take which will probably take me a year to complete:-( I am calling the school bright and early on Monday morning to see what they tell me. I will keep you posted. Thanks again for the info!

No I haven't had any contact with anybody yet. I just found out about the program today as I was on their website and reading threads on here. I see the sign for Stevenson Univ all the time when I'm driving but never looked into it til now. I live in Owings Mills so it would be a good thing for me since I have small children and all ya know. Do you live in Owings Mills? Is that the campus you will be going to?

Tine- I don' t want to post her email address for fear that she will get spammed, but search for Karen's name on the website and send her and email or call. I think she is the primary point of contact for prospective nursing students.

I am a "local" too, living in Reisterstown.... Have you always lived in the area? Could I know you? I went to Franklin HS and graduated in the late 90s.

I believe that the majority of nursing classes are held at the Stevenson campus, but I have noticed that a few are held in OM.

Hi. Does anyone know if there is a waitlist for the 2nd degree BSN at Stevenson? I'm going there on Monday to see what they tell me but just wanted a heads up if any of you knew.

JennyA - you said you are going there in the fall, when did you apply? What are their requirements? I have a bachelor's degree but I need to take the Anatomy & Physiology classes.

Hi Tine- I see that your question has already been answered, but I applied at the same time as OneNJen (late March). You do have to have the prerequisites completed though. Good luck in finishing those up, and let me know if I can answer any questions for you!
