I applied for Towson's fall 2014 nursing program. i have a 3.8 cummulative GPA and had 78 in my teas. I'v never been this nervous ever. pls i heard that its very competitive and i dont even know if i have a change with such a low teas score. Is there someone here who is or has been in my current state of mind?

I also applied. 90 on teas v. Bs from Towson with a 3.31. Much higher prereq gpa. Couple of different volunteer healthcare experiences. I'm waiting to hear back too.
congrats on ur teas score, i wish i could get such a high score! i bet u'll get in!
Thanks; I hope so. Your cumulative gpa is very good though. What is your degree in? Also, have you considered retaking the teas? It seems like a fairly basic (albeit broad subject matter) test, to me. I thought the science section was out of the blue, but I imagine with the right preparation, one could score 100s on the verbal and math sections. I took it a week after signing up for it, and only used the mcgraw practice test book to familiarize myself with the format and types of questions.. Plus that book was very cheap on amazon. You can get the e-copy and just write your answers on a blank piece of paper. I'll let you know if I hear back from towson. Good luck!
goodluck to you, i'll let you know too

I applied to Towson as well! I took several classes at several school so I don't really know what my true cumulative GPA is, but from where I received my degree, my GPA in a 3.01 with a TEAS score of 81.8. I applied to hagerstown campus though, so we'll see what happens. Good luck girls!
I heard the letters will be sent out by the end of the month:(
That work for me! Because of all this dreadful snow, my midterms have been pushed back. So at least I'll be be busy studying and will be done with exams by the time the letter comes!
good for you!
I haven't heard anything from towson yet, which makes me slightly nervous. I had been thinking I'd be a shoe in since I graduated from there, but I also know it's supposed to be very competitive...so maybe not.

I know the main campus is very competitive. But if you apply for the Hagerstown campus, you have a better chance of getting in. I'm at the Hagerstown campus and one of my fellow classmates used to be at main campus. He went for Hagerstown coz there was less competition for spots.
To be honest Lissla, that was totally my logic for applying to Hagerstown as well. I knew that competition would be high for the main campus, so I didn't ever bother. Plus I like the idea of a smaller more intimate class.
