Hi all,
I am at my wit's end here. I am at Touro University and am having a heck of a time finding a project mentor to supervise my Capstone.
Does anyone have any suggestions for finding a proper mentor?
It really isn't that much of an investment on the part of the mentor.
If nothing else, this is making me realize how important it will be for me to become a mentor myself once I am done.

Hi! I'm in the DNP16A cohort. I guess the most pressing question to ask is what the focus of your capstone will be. That can help in putting out feelers for a Practice Mentor. Mine has a DHSc- doctor of health science, from a regionally accredited program. So it does NOT have to be a DNP or PhD. You can also have an EdD as a Practice Mentor.

I am looking into this school. How do you like it? Is it difficult? I teach full time- can it managed with working full time?
OP and I are in the program and both work full-time. It's intense, but doable.

Hi Sweettart RN,
Did you find a DNP mentor?
There's an online community called "Doctors of Nursing Practice," where they can offer some help or resources.
I'm unsure if I can post the link on allnurses. The web site is: doctorsofnursingpractice dot org.
Hope that helps.
