Tourist visa question?

Just reading a post there about adjustment of status and it got me thinking. Would it be possible to come into the usa from the uk and make up my hours, sit nclex and get my visa screen apply for a job to sponser me submit my I-140 all on a 6 month tourist visa? Is it possible to do this in 6 months? What about when you land in the usa with a 6 month staying mind how much do they question you what do you stay? I would be staying with my sister for the 6 months and would have enough money for myself and my husband.

You will not receive the Visa Screen Certiifcate until about four months after completing the NCLEX exam. It is a separate application from the CES, and you will receive an actual document from them. VSC is strictly for immigration purposes, and one of the requirements of getting it is passing the NCLEX-RN exam, or the CGFNS exam.

You only need to pass the NCLEX-RN exam, then you can start the petition process. Currently the VSC is not needed for the process to start, however, that can always change.

Because you will be in the US, the time may be a little shorter, but do not count on it earlier than then. If so, consider it a gift from the Gods. Do nto base anything on it coming sooner. Glitches always appear when you least expect it.
