Hi,

I took my test in June (I had another Thread -under Delgado Pax Test- it is in this forum but a little ways down. I got my score back in 2 weeks. I made a 147- (after terrific fear of gettiing the dreaded "c" test. The one with all of the physics on it) - and of course, I had not had physics in over 20 years. Anyhow, what a relief it was to find out that I did not bomb because of this. If you have not gotten your scores back- you should call the National League of Nursing- go to their web site- under PAX test, get their phone number and check it out- You should of recieved your scores the same time that I did. My test was June 18th.

This fall (at Delgado) I will finish pre-reqs by taking my last math, anatomy 2, and the anatomy lab. I am on the wait list at Charity to start Spring 06 nursing classes.

Hi,

No, this was my first time taking the pax. I am the waiting list for early admission because I missed the deadline with the application and I had yet to take the pax-took it in June. They are very strict about having all info in their hands before they will even consider you.

I just went ahead and got all of my shots and everything out of the way. They indicated to me that I may find out 2 weeks prior to school starting- so it will be crazy once I get the go ahead. They said that there are alot of people that drop and they look for people to fill the slots. (apparently this happened last semester too) Did you get an info packet from Charity? If not you can call them on the phone and they will mail you one- they are pretty quick about that.

If you are awaiting transcript review, and you just took the pax this June (like me) you will not be considered unless if you had your application in a year ago. They send out fall 06 admission notices this December. With school starting, they will be running around like chickens over there.. It sounds like you need to talk to Mrs White in admissions. You can also checkout the website delgado website, click on charity- they have loaded a bunch of info on it that was never there before (who knows might help ya?)

good luck.

Opps missed the req's question.... I figured it out myself.. Sometimes it is so hard to get people to help you at Delgado- you can hear a different story from everyone that you ask.. In the Science and Math Dept (where the deans office is) in Building 1 they have a plastic holders on the wall. In them, they usually have a flow chart indicating what courses you need. I had a heck of a time attempting to get counsel by someone- (I am considered a transfer student) and they just won't let " anybody" talk to you. In fact, I tried so many tiimes to speak to an advisor from Charity.... and was unsuccessful- they don't return calls.... I had to go to the Dean and complain before someone actually spoke to me... My emails went unreturned as well. I try to talk to alot of people that are actually in Charity -and get their experience and ask questions- You should have no problem getting support from someone on this site.... Just post your thread.....lots of Charity students are on here..

I am a 3rd semester student at Charity let me know if you have any questions. Email is better than the message board [email protected]

tey told methat i was going to know something in december thats weird and i applied for evening division also.

Spring 06 (next semester) notices have already went out. I had everything except pax in by the august 04 deadline and took the pax right after the deadline so I was only considered for the Spring semester. You wait approx. one year from the deadline where all of your documents are in includung pax. I don't know about early entry, but when I called to find out about my application, they told me when it went to the board for review and everything. As far as prereqs, the application packet that I got from Charity School of Nursing and the Delgado Catalog lists what is needed before you can take any nursing classes. I am in a spot now where I was accepted for spring, but I have to finish a&p 1 lecture and lab this semester or I can't start nursing classes. I know that I'm going to pass, but that is a lot of pressure.

Anyway, if you are confused about the process, call Charity School of Nursing and ask for the admissions office for the RN program. If you are extra nice to them(say good morning), they will be very helpful to you. Trust me when I say that the nicer I was, the more patient they were with me and my questions.
