Twelve years ago I was about ready to transfer into a BSN program, had taken all the pre-reqs, but like an idiot changed my major to Business. Now I am kicking myself and want to try to get back into a RN program, thinking Fall 2007 as I already missed this year's deadlines for most four year schools. I received A's in all the pre-reqs so retaking them is not something I want to do. I have read some schools saying pre-reqs to be taken "within 10 years" and other schools just don't mention anything about a time limit.
And to add some humor for you, the real kicker is I didn't realize I wanted to get my RN degree until recently. I just got out of the Army (infantry) and started this gi-bill to pay for a year of Paramedic training that I'm in right now, 11 months to go but will still have about $20,000 left of the gi-bill. I know I could always try to work as an ER Tech (with Paramedic cert) for the rest of my career but I really want to be an RN in an emergency department.
thanks everyone for the replies. i guess the answer is it depends on the school. i surprised myself right now on finding some schools.the following bsn schools i've found state no time limit on prerequisites, this is just a few, there are many more, to give others some hope also:

michigan state university and u of michigan both have limits on how old your science pre-reqs can be. i know for a fact that michigan state has a 10 year limit on anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
the link that you have for michigan state is actually for their rn to bsn program, not the basic bsn program for students who do not already have their license.

I think the time-limit is usually only applied to science classes - your other general eds should still be ok (english, humanities, stats, psych, etc.) Goodluck!
