Took the NCLEX yesterday...

:crying2: and I was up half the night frantic with worry. Mine shut off after 80 questions or so (I stopped paying attention at 75 and got a few more after that) and I feel like I bombed. I missed so many EASY questions that I feel like I must have failed. Yes, there were delegation questions and who would you assess first, and a lot of "What is the BEST indicator that the treatment is working?" but I felt like I guessed a lot of those. But what I am really beating myself up over is that I got a lot of practical questions too and I am TERRIBLE at answering practical questions, so I missed some very basic ones. Plus I have an inkling that the last one I answered was wrong but I can't remember which one was last.

So I was wondering if anyone has any success stories with similar experiences? I just can't believe there's any chance I passed. Also, I took the test and ended yesterday (Thursday) at 2:30. So, do you think I will need to wait until Monday for results?? I am just a mess right now.

Anne, I'm in MA too. I believe you can get the quick results on Saturday. I don't know how speedy our BON is about posting licenses. I was trying to think back to my LPN license and can't remember how long it took them to post it. I know I had to get my quick results before it was posted on their website. I hope that helps and wish you the best of luck! Just know that I feel as bewildered as you do about this exam.

Hey there!! Also from MA...and I also took the test yesterday too, but at 2:30. Yeah...mine shut off at 75, so I have no idea how I did...my test sounded like yours...i got priority, delegation, meds, infection control, teaching, and like 5-6 select all that apply (which I'm not so great in..) and i feel like i bombed it too..but again i'm thinking i must have done something right in order for the computer to shut off at 75...i don't know..i know we have quick results...i know 4 people who graduated with me and their names posted on the BON showed up 3 days after they took the exam. I'm wondering..do they post on the weekends??? i'll be too nervous to check the pearson site...good luck! i'm sure you did fine.

I also took mine yesterday and it shut off at 75 questions. I had a lot of delegation, infection control, priority, medication questions. No select all's. I have no idea how I did. I know that I answered about 12 questions correctly becuase I just knew the answers. The rest came down to a choice between 2 answers and I tried my kaplan strategies (which did help on a couple of them) but I honestly have NO CLUE how I did! I'll get my results tomorrow (yes pearson vue does post on saturdays and sundays too I've heard) and I'm just so nervous! Our BON doesn't post whether we pass or not on their site - only an RN search.

I'm going NUTS today!

Hi, Annie! I just took my NCLEX-PN exam yesterday(Sat) & the types of questions & my opinion on how I did sound exactly like your post.

Did you find out how you did? I hope it was/is the best news you were hoping & praying for.

I won't find out until tomorrow at work. Not looking forward to that, since I don't have hope that I passed. I got alot of what everyone says are the "higher-level-of-difficulty" questions(many prioritization, some delegation, LOTS of teaching & infection control, ~10 select-all-that-apply, several dietary...of which I know I got at least 1 wrong, one skill question, & no math or other alternate-type questions), but I just don't feel confident at all with how I did. Plus I know I screwed up on a couple "easy" questions. I know, that's how everyone feels afterwards. But I just have this gut feeling I'll be doing this test again.

Hey there! From one MA resident to another! I found out yesterday (before the site went down!) that i passed the NCLEX. I'm sure you did too! I figured that the MA BON posts people who are licensed 3 days after you take the exam. But because they don't post on weekends, they will most likely be posted Monday. Not sure if you found out yet or not, but good luck! :icon_hug:
