Took NCLEX yesterday nervous wreck

Took my nclex yesterday morning......my school goes years without anyone failing....one failed last year....I scored a 929 on my first HESI....my test shut off at 75 questions...I also got the good pop-up....

Yet I'm scared....will get quick results tomorrow...It didn't seem like my questions were that hard...maybe 20 alternatives.....some super simple questions....I think the last two questions were tough...I spent a lot of time on them....hoping the computer would shut off at 75.....

Do very many people fail at 75?? Or should I be concerned that the PVT doesn't work....I did make sure that the delivery had occured???

Yep we all felt that way, but relax. You passed. No one has ever had the PVT be wrong in terms of thinking you passed and then actually failing.

Here's what I did. Let's look at the stats:

- About 86% US NCLEX takers pass their first time. And that's a stat from NCLEX itself.

- Study aids increase those odds, especially if you've done well on them

- On this very forum, I found a poll once asking about 75 questions pass vs fail. Over 4000 people answered. 84% of those 4,000 passed at 75.

- The good pop up is pretty darn reliable. I personally don't know anyone it hasn't worked for (although I hear stories, of course)

Adding all that up, it seems VERY likely that you passed. I was in the same boat, and after I saw the good popup, I started telling people (only those close to me): "statistically, it looks like I passed." Then yesterday, I got my license number. :)

I would definitely clear your weekend for celebrations, but if you want to wait until you have quick results, everyone will understand. And check your BoN!!!

I tested Monday, computer shut off at 75qs, got the good pop-up, and as of today I am officially an RN! :)

Thank You all......I've was fairly calm at first.... will get quick results early tomorrow....the closer it gets...:/ LOL.....Thanks again....I LOVE nurses they are the best!!!
