Took my NCLEX PN today. It stopped at 85 questions. I'm freaking out that I failed with 85. Louisiana doesn't offer quick results for PN so I have to wait about a week. The wait is going to kill me.
If Pearson Vue doesn't offer the Quick Results service in Louisiana, you can always try checking the LA BoN website for license verification each day. I don't know how fast (or slowly) LA moves, but if they update their website faster than they snail mail, you might find your answer sooner rather than later.
But something I say A LOT would be good for you to think about, now: given the kind of student you were, how you studied for the NCLEX, what kinds of grades you received in school...is it more likely that you did very poorly and were shut down at the minimum number of questions, or very well and were able to demonstrate competency quickly?
MOST first-time testers do pass, so the odds are certainly in your favor.
Good luck!
FWIW, most people do feel like they bombed the test when they actually aced it. It's true that you cannot be absolutely certain how you did until you get the results, but...it does look good for you :)
So now that you know you have time to kill.....clean out your closets, donate unwanted items. Clean out and organize your kitchen cupboards and pantry. Make your bathroom sparkle. Domestic chores that have been neglected in favor of studying now can be a GREAT diversion for that pent-up frustration energy!
