i recognized most meds and if i didn't, i looked for what the pt was being treated for, the suffix or the answers to see if that jolted any memories.
i didnt study pharm as a chapter itself per se but i did quickly look at a list of common suffixes right before the exam and also reviewed the prototype i put for each category that was easiest for me-ie ACE inhibitor is lisinopril. ARB is losartan, BB's are pronanolol etc.
we were told not to study the day before but i listened to the kaplan review of content pharm section-only about 1/2 of it. it jogged some stuff but i didnt find it necessary.
i found that Kaplan had many more meds i never heard of as compared to the nclex
sorry if this isnt so helpful. i focused more on other areas that were harder for me.
good luck!
Congrats on the good pop up!I kinda think I passed bec I was on my 10th SATA at q #21 and so many of my q's had qoutes and stuff. When I walked out of the center I wasnt freaking out or anything that it was crazily hard like they say..... Normal? Or may not? Very confused. I'm just going to pay for the quick results and get it over with.
When the pop up says your results are on hold, it means that Pearson VUE is reviewing your test. You could have been selected for a random audit, or there could have been something at the test center or on the video that triggered a warning of some kind. For example, if your handprint to access the test area didn't work, if you wrote on your white board too soon or erased it before turning it in, if you left without being escorted by the test proctor, if you were observed doing anything suspicious- like using your cell phone- even during breaks. All of these things will get your results put on hold until Pearson VUE determines there was no violations in protocol.
It can take one day or several days for your results to become available. If they are still on hold after a day, you can call Pearson VUE and they should be able to tell you why your results are on hold.

i took nclex today. waited a few hours then went online.
when I tried to do the pearson view trick, i got the following pop-up : "the candidate currently has test results on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time". it didn't go to the credit card page so is this the 'good' popup? i had 75 questions, 20 were select all that apply, 2 drag and drop, one exhibit question plus many questions that had quotes for answers. i had lots of pharm questions, one was something along " pt has infection x, what med will you expect the dr to order? then listed 4 meds"
anyone know what this means? would greatly appreciate any ideas!
