Took NCLEX RN 4/8/16....waiting....

Published

I just took the NCLEX RN, 45 minutes, shut off at 75 questions. Tried the Pearson Vue trick, and it won't let me register (good), but tells me my results are on hold (bad)..,so, inconclusive so far😫. I should have planned better- scheduling on a Friday means I'll probably have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for results!! The waiting is the worst part😔. I get mixed messages about the Pearson Vue trick these days- some people have passed with "holds" or the "bad" message, and some people have failed with the "good" message. So, I know the only way to know for sure is to wait....but it's torture!!! I'm pretty sure I'm on hold either because of my fast timing, or the fact that they had to rescan my hands a dozen times!

Just got mine an hour ago- passed :smug:

Does anyone in this thread live in CA or know how long it takes for your name and license number to appear if you passed?

I live in CA and took my test on Feb 22 .. I didn't get my license number posted until March 23.

Saying that there are a lot of any type of questions, such as meds, prioritization, SATA questions is not an apt description. An apt description is something like this person is dramatic, do you A. tell them nicely, B. tell them not nicely, C. respond passive aggressively or D. ignore them. After reading many of your responses, I selected C.

If people want to know what to expect in regards to question styles, don't try to persuade them not to. Surely when you were preparing for a test, mentally, you were curious about the style of questions. That is hardly cheating or divulging. The National Council of State Boards of Nursing breaks down the content areas, are they guilty of divulging when they share the detailed test plan for candidates so they know what content areas the most recent NCLEX will focus on? If so, attack them about their rules of discussing content because what they give candidates on their website is far more descriptive and detailed than any posts that I have seen in regards to the content on the NCLEX.

I cut and pasted the link if you're interested, by the way, how well did you score on practice tests in the area of therapeutic communication?

Hi! Have you checked https://www.breeze.ca.gov/datamart/mainMenu.do? You can click on the "Verify a License" button, choose Search by Personal or Business Name then input you information. I took my NCLEX-RBN last April 16 and checked daily. My breeze account showed a license issuance date of April 19. :) Hope this helps. The letter will probably come in the mail a lot later.
