Took the NCLEX... 265 Questions. SATA questions

Published

Hello Allnurses!

I took my NCLEX today and I just want to vent out. I was given all 265 questions, finished in about 5 hours and 15 minutes. What was frustrating was that I had at least 50% of the questions in SATA format! I only had 1 calculation question (seriously!). I've never liked SATA, BUT I ALWAYS TRY MY BEST. :barf02: As soon as I got out of the building, my boyfriend picked me up and I just hugged him and cried. I felt like I was being hit multiple times when I was taking the NCLEX. When I took my first break at question 60, I saw a couple of test takers leaving the building already.

I'm really getting anxious right now. I can't do the PVT trick since I don't have $200 on my card. I kinda don't wanna do it, honestly. I felt like my soul is crushed because of the amount of SATA questions there.

So, I'm asking is there anybody who had this situation, and passed?

KEEP HOPE ALIVE! Hope for the best and if it goes the other way, jump back on the horse again after a short break. Either way it is not the end of the world but it will feel like it. Remember, the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong but to those that endures. Please let us know the good news.

You can try the PVT trick by changing either the expiration date or the CVC code. If the pop up says " Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time" - that is the good pop up. If it says either of these it is not good: "The payment was was declined. Reason: Invalid card number. Remember number or use a different credit card." OR "The payment was was declined. Reason: Invalid security code. Remember number or use a different credit card."

Fingers crossed for you!!

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I still have not checked. I'm too anxious to! but really thank you so much!

Hi! :) Do you think I still can do the PVT trick even if I don't have $200 on my card?

My wife also took NCLEX on Sep 16th, and passed after taking the full 265 questions. On her previous attempts, she ended the test at 75 and 125 questions. The fact that you got enough correct to make it to 265 questions is encouraging. I wouldn't worry about doing the trick at this point, just pay the $8 for the Pearson Vue Quick Results which should be available 2 business days after your NCLEX. Good luck, and we're looking forward to reading your good news!

Will check in a couple of hours. Thank you so much ❤️ Gives me hope. You said in your post that it's 2 business days, but it's only been 1, since today is Monday. Your wife already received results as early as now? By the way, congratulations to her! í ½í²•í ½í±í ¼í¿½

Very observant! My wife is visiting the Philippines, and took her test in Manila which is 15 hours ahead of Pacific Time. That's why she already has her Sept 16th results earlier.

As far as what helped her pass the NCLEX this time around, she took the Rachel Allen 25 day review course with teaching staff 8 hours every day. www rachellallen com

Hello again, oh wow! I just visited the Philippines 2 months ago. That's great news. She can relax and enjoy her time in the Philippines. Thanks!
