Took my NCLEX and my pop up changed

Published

I took the NCLEX today at 8 am. I had 75 questions and felt like it was pretty hard! I finished about 10:12. I did the PVT around 10:30 when I got to my computer and I already had the email saying I had completed the NCLEX. When I did my PVT the first time I got the good pop up that says "our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time." I thought I could relax a little thinking I got the good pop up. I went ahead and checked again about 2 hours later because I heard I could have checked too early and now my pop up has changed. It says "the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time."

Has this ever happened to anyone else?? I am hoping that there is nothing wrong with this pop up but I don't know! The 2 day wait is going to kill me!

Please comment!

I think I have read that's still the good pop up

I am hoping so, but I have read other reviews and forums and am not so sure

isn't that bad pop up where it charges your credit card?

Thats what I was told, but I didn't know there was a pop up that said anything about a hold on the account. I think thats why I am worried.

DO NOT rely on the pop-up. It has been known to be inaccurate at times...what's happening to you is a good example of just that. Find something to distract yourself while you're waiting for the results. Yes, I know it's rough to wait...but redoing the pop-up over and over isn't going to change whether you passed, and is just going to get you even more worked up.

Remember that the majority of NCLEX takers pass the test the first time, even though many walk out--including myself--swearing to high heaven that they must have just failed. The odds of having passed are in your favor.

And should you not pass, you wouldn't be the first nurse who needed to take the test twice to get licensed. It won't be the end of the world, really it won't.

Best of luck.

You are so right! this is a good example of what I don't need to be doing! Its hard to not try and find out! Thank you for taking a positive spin on things!

Hey I am hoping to heaven that you passed. Please tell me you passed. I am an international nurse. I have been freaking out. My friends had to take the test twice and another just failed the second one and when I stopped at 75 today at 10am I thought I failed. So I checked and hot the good pop up. Cant help but smile a litu. Never heard of the results being on hold. I must have checked ten times already! I just need to know you passed after the good pop up. So I can sleep well tonight and tomorrow till I can chek on sunday.

the pop up messages you got weren't conflicting. The first said you couldn't make a new registration which is what you get when either you have passed the first scoring but not yet gone through the second, or when you've gone through both scorings and probably have passed. Results being on hold doesn't mean pass or fail or anything other than what it just said. Holds are placed whenever a test undergoes a further scrutiny, and this can happen whenever a palm scan is odd, the amount of time testing is unusual (typically faster than average) or if there is a reason to suspect cheating. A PV official can flag a test for review if they see something questionable on the day of testing. A test can be randomly reviewed. There could be a problem at the site that affected dozens of people, you just don't know about them. Doesn't mean anything.

When you get your official results you'll know if you passed, failed, or if your test is invalid because of something you did that you shouldn't have done (that caused the hold) but people usually have a clue when that happens. No clue? Not likely a problem. Good luck.
