Took NCLEX for the 2nd time with 265 questions again. Nursing pending app gone!

Published

On Tuesday I took the NCLEX for the second time. The first time I got 265 questions, and a letter in the mail telling me I ALMOST passed. So this time I studied the entire Saunder's book, and did every ATI test/live review that was given to me in the ATI live review class that we took at school. I went in feeling more confident, yet again I got 265 questions. I know that 265 means that I'm still in the game, and it is trying to figure out if I'm at that level of competency it wants.

This time I decided that right away that I would not try the PEARSON TEST because last time all it did was drive me into a panic attack when it took me to the credit card page. So this time I would just check Indiana's license look up page. Today I noticed that my pending application is gone! My official results aren't available yet, only quick results, and I'm not pay $8 again for it to tell me that I failed. Does them taking down my pending application mean that I failed? After seeing this I attempted to reregister again and of course got taken straight to the credit card page. I don't know what to do, and am a hot mess til my official results are up tomorrow.

I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I did well in school, and on all my practice content I do really well. This has got me so bummed out, and questioning if I made the right career decision.

I'm not sure. Maybe you could post this in the NCLEX forum?

Yes unfortunately if your name disappears from Indiana pla website that means you have definitely failed :( I am sorry... Don't let it get you down just need to put yourself back together then try again. Goodluck

A letter saying you ALMOST passed? I've never heard of such a thing. It's pass/fail, no almosts, unfortunately...

yes it is a pass or fail, but if you fail they send you a letter saying what your strengths and weaknesses were. It lists all categories and tells you if you passed that category, if you ALMOST passed that category, or if you needed work on that category. I passed all categories and had listed next to one category ALMOST passed. As in I was close.

Thank you. I would if they would let me. But it told me to pick from 4 categories and it would relocate it for me if it wasn't in the correct category.
